Germany Guest of Honour of elcomUkraine 2009

The organisers of elcomUkraine, fairtrade and Euroindex, proudly present Germany as the Guest of Honour of elcomUkraine 2009. During the past few years, the exchange between Ukraine and Germany has been intensified in all spheres. The Guest of Honour-initiative hopes to contribute to greater bilateral and multilateral trade.    

The impressive German Pavilion at elcomUkraine 2009 is organised by the German Ministry of Economics and Technology in cooperation with the Association of the German Trade Fair Industry (AUMA). The German presentation is supported by ZVEI - German Electrical and Electronic Manufacturers’ Association, the German Embassy Kiev and the Delegation of German Industry and Commerce in Ukraine.

According to Johannes Kirsch, head of department foreign trade policy, sales promotion and fairs at ZVEI, “Ukraine and Germany have much in common. Apart from their many cultural links, the two nations maintain strong economic ties. Germany is - next to Russia – Ukraine’s most important trading partner. Products „made in Germany“ stand for high quality and have an excellent reputation in Ukraine. In 2007, German exports of electro technology products to Ukraine have reached EUR 1.1 billion. We are confident that the German presentation as the Guest of Honour of elcomUkraine 2009 will contribute to further develop this good position.”

At elcomUkraine 2009 in Kiev, German exhibitors will present their innovations, especially from the power engineering sector. The focus of attention is going to be on highly energy efficient machineries. Furthermore, great emphasis will be put on the “German Day”, where exhibitors get the opportunity to showcase their outstanding variety of leading-edge technologies. Visitors will be able to gain a comprehensive overview of the emerging trends in German industry. Exhibitors will furthermore be able to get broad insights on investment opportunities in Ukraine as much as being able to seek for cooperation partners to help them strengthen their sales and marketing activities.
