elcomUkraine 2010: 260 exhibitors from 17 countries attend some 10,500 professionals

Valuable contacts that pay off!

With 260 exhibitors from 17 countries and 10,500 professional visitors expected, the 14th elcomUkraine confirms its position as one of Eastern Europe’s leading business platforms for electro technology. Exhibitors present their innovations in the fields of modern, efficient and sustainable infrastructure in power transmission and distribution, building and industrial automation, electro-technology and lighting technology.

Co-organised by the largest organiser of b2b trade shows in Ukraine, Euroindex, and the German trade fair specialist fairtrade, the event is scheduled to take place at the KievExpoPlaza from April 13 to 16. Official national pavilions are organised by the Czech Republic, France, Germany, Poland and Turkey.

With an amount of 196 TWH of electric power generation in 2007, Ukraine ranks 12th on a global scale. Because of aged technologies, the country suffers from a level of power consumption twice as high as in Germany, for instance. These facts already demonstrate the enormous potential of the Ukrainian market for suppliers of energy-efficient solutions and equipment.

According to ZVEI – the German Electrical and Electronic Manufacturers’ Association, German exports of electro-technical products to Ukraine for instance have reached nearly Euro 1 billion in 2008, with strong growth rates in automation, energy technology, lighting technology, consumer electronics and electro-medical technology. Meanwhile also the imports of electro-technology from Ukraine to Germany have increased by 14 % up to more than Euro 213 million.
